Painted Bridges - Posuwaegeh Overcrossing

Posuwaegeh is Towa for "place to drink." The Pojoaque Pueblo owns a market, restaurants, casinos, a hotel, and even an 18 hole golf course just to the east of the Posuwaegeh Overcrossing. This is a single-span reinforced concrete box girder bridge. The outside of the box girder is painted with symbols for mountains, clouds, and (maybe) water. Large 'whirling logs' (a symbol for the infinite) were painted on the walls extending up from the abutments.
