El Dorado County, California Bridges: Placerville Bridges

January 2013 (38.730 Degrees, -120.798 Degrees) Placerville Bridges
Turning west, I photographed another Hangtown Creek Bridge (next to the Placerville Town Hall) that no longer carries traffic because 'K' railing blocks the SR 50 frontage road. Just beyond this bridge is the Bedford Avenue Pedestrian Overcrossing, which carries people over SR 50.
I'm including a photo of this POC (Br. #25 0051) because it has all the kitschy elements that local agencies insist upon for their bridges over state right-of-ways. Columns clad in brick, accentuated capitals, tall lampposts, and decorative railings all notify drivers that they are passing a town of historic importance.
