March 2012 (35.686 Degrees, 139.836 Degrees) Sunajima Bashi |
Continuing to paddle east on the Onagi Canal. We were supposed to come to the Sunajima Bashi (砂島橋),
a unique pedestrian bridge with a beautiful deck, but I don't seem to have taken a good photo of it. The next bridge after the POC is the Maruhachi; a five span roadway bridge built in 1972 with a steel box girder superstructure on two column bents. It carries Route 476 (the Maruhachi Dori) across the Onagi Canal next to a shrine (the Ōjima-Inari-Jinja 大島稲荷神社).![Creative Commons License](http://i.creativecommons.org/l/by-nc-sa/3.0//us/88x31.png)
