Calaveras County, California Bridges: Double Springs Road Bridge across Haupt Creek

April 2013 (38.21500 Degrees, -120.76194 Degrees) Double Springs Road Bridge
A third, almost identical bridge as we continue east from Lime Creek Road to Double Springs Road just north of the intersection of SR 12 and SR 26. This bridge also has fencing on the upstream end for some reason. All three bridges are county bridges built in the 1910s, probably designed by the same engineer. They're all two span T girder bridges with end-diaphragm abutments, wingwalls, and a center pier wall.
The concrete has a little color, maybe beige. The Double Springs Road Bridge across Haupt Creek (30C0047) is 45 ft long, 23 ft wide, and built in 1917. I don't know why, but they're not eligible for registry as historical places. Maybe they're considered too plain, but like a nice piece of Shaker furniture I think they're perfect.
