Amador County, California Bridges: Willow Creek Road Bridge across Dry Creek (2)

March 2013 (38.41374°, -120.90292°) Willow Creek Road Bridge
A closer look at the Willow Creek Road Bridge (26C0015) over Dry Creek. Three haunched girders support 45 ft long spans with diaphragms at the supports and at midspan. A narrow pier wall stands in the river, hopefully on a pile cap. The 2010 inspection report says the foundation is unknown and was not evaluated for scour. The bridge got a sufficiency rating of 91.1, which is pretty good. In 2004 the bridge carried about 640 vehicles a day.
